About Us

Our story

Voras Ar-Ge was founded in 2012 with a Teknogirişim government grant for the TitrAn project. TitrAn is an active vibration control cutting tool equipped with a piezoelectric actuator and an accelerometer; initial tests showed a 38% improvement in surface roughness. In 2013, an improved version of Desibox, our box dimension and weight measurement system, was developed with KOSGEB support. Our cooperation with Elsys AG then increased our test and measurement capabilities. In 2014, TitrAn was funded by TÜBİTAK for industrialization. In 2016, we developed a desktop dental 3D scanner at the request of a dental company.

In 2017, we began our collaboration with Garuda Method and started manufacturing its equipment; since then we have manufactured over 200 pieces of equipment and delivered them to every continent. In the same period, we started producing the grille and body tube for the historic Willys MB jeep, a product group named FreeWillys in 2021. In 2018, we established our own workshop to increase in-house production capabilities. In 2020, development of the new-generation Garuda Sonali equipment, with every stage from concept design to series production carried out by Voras Ar-Ge, was completed and production started. Today we develop new products and serve as an R&D partner to collaborating companies.

What we do

We combine mechanical, electronics and software engineering under one roof, so a single team can take a project from idea to prototype and production. Our main capabilities are:

R&D support

Public R&D support played an important role in the growth of Voras Ar-Ge. The company was founded in 2012 with a Teknogirişim grant for the TitrAn project. In 2013, an improved version of the Desibox measurement system was developed with KOSGEB support. In 2014, TitrAn, our active vibration control cutting tool, was funded by TÜBİTAK for industrialization. After completing these projects successfully, we directed our expertise toward solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

Our brands

We design and manufacture all equipment for the Garuda Method. FreeWillys is our product group covering body, chassis and accessory parts for the historic Willys MB jeep. Atölyeman is our sub-brand that markets the sub-parts produced for our main products and projects on e-commerce sites such as Hepsiburada, Trendyol and N11. Petoxil is a collaborative brand with Innowels A.Ş. for producing pet huts and poultry coops.

Our workshop

In 2018, we established our own workshop in DES Sanayi Sitesi, Ümraniye, Istanbul. The workshop lets us build prototypes and manufacture the products we design in-house. With our custom machinery design experience, we can also develop custom tools, fixtures and machines when needed for prototyping or series production.
